Dedicating one’s career to reaching out to the public and raising awareness on ecology and wildlife populations is a key role for wildlife management professionals. Many of us do this, and a few of us excel at it. Each year the ACTWS recognizes excellence in this endeavour with a Wildlife Outreach award.
Chris Fisher needs no introduction. Active on television, social media and speaking events, large and small, Chris has translated an education in wildlife biology and a passion for wildlife into a career of exemplary nature outreach. His books are best-sellers and his nature posts go viral. It was an honour for the ACTWS to present this year’s Wildlife Outreach award to Chris.
