Where Are They Now?

Paul Frame was the 2002 recipient of the William Wishard graduate scholarship; only the second time it was awarded. At the time, Paul was studying for his MSc at the University of Alberta. His work was award-winning.

Ever curious, Paul followed-up his degree with a series of wildlife positions; mostly north of 60°, and mostly working with wolves or bears. He eventually settled in Nunavut as the territorial Polar Bear Biologist.

But now Paul has returned to Alberta and is the provincial carnivore specialist for Alberta Environment and Parks. For the past 5 years, he has worked with a team of biologists, grad students and profs from the University of Alberta and the Royal Alberta Museum to further our understanding of cougars in the west-central region of our province. Congratulations Paul on an outstanding, ongoing, career.
