Reporting to the Regional Wildlife Manager, this position is accountable for the design, development, delivery and management of all wildlife and wildlife habitat programs in the Spruce Grove area. This includes, wildlife allocation and conservation initiatives for game, non-game and species at risk. At all levels, this position is responsible for ensuring the long term sustainability of wildlife populations and their habitats, and in particular ensuring that all wildlife program interests related to allocation, conservation, permitting and integrated resource management are addressed. This includes representing wildlife interests with the Public, First Nations and Metis, local and regional governments and industry. You will be responsible for leading a team of Wildlife biologists to support the objectives of the regional and provincial Fish and Wildlife team. This position also provides strong professional and operational support, leadership, advice and direction to various provincial level tasks, strategies, policies, and processes (both inside and outside of the Fish and Wildlife).
