You will have the chance to help the Wildlife Advisors in the regards to Environmental compliance, with a focus on wildlife regulations, permit conditions, and other governmental requirements.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Environment, Ecology, Wildlife Management, Biological Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related degree with an environmental or wildlife focus, at an accredited postsecondary institution
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
  • You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

  • Assist in the wildlife management program including field visits and monitoring success of the program
  • Review, manage and analyze field data and enter it into databases such as GIS
  • Help coordinate wildlife sweep surveys, draft wildlife reports for internal and external distribution
  • Assist with inspections to improve environmental compliance
  • Assist with presentation development for the various business teams on wildlife, wildlife features and compliance
  • Assist wildlife team with day to day tasks such monitoring wildlife incidents, permits and tracking to meet our regulatory requirements


Location and other Key Details:

  • This is an 8, 12 or 16-month work term starting in May 2023
  • You will work out of a Syncrude location in Fort McMurray
