Description
Join us at Alford Lake Conservation Education Centre, June 23-25 for an action packed weekend of hunting and angling education! With guest speakers and certified instructors, you will learn firearm, archery, and fishing skills and safety training. You will also learn about the role of hunting and fishing in healthy ecosystems. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, this is the perfect chance to learn new skills and perfect old ones. Bring your own gear or borrow ours, everyone is welcome! You do not need to have a fishing, hunting or firearm license to attend.
We will also have an exclusive guided tour through the Raven Creek Brood Trout Station. This facility produces over 50,000 trout for recreational stocking and ~500,000 eggs for Alberta’s production hatcheries in Cold Lake and Calgary each year.
The event will kick-off Friday evening at 7:30 pm with a cook-out in partnership with an Indigenous family. Stay overnight in a shared cabin on site, or bring your own tent or trailer. Cabins are limited, so register now to secure your spot!
