Two-year postdoctoral fellow (PDF) position available for joining a collaborative team in developing a bioeconomic model for evaluating chronic wasting disease (CWD) management strategies including harvest modeling and vaccination strategies. Qualifications include a PhD and competency in quantitative and modeling analyses with preference given to applicants with specific expertise in epidemiological modeling; strong oral communication skills and publishing experience; expertise in mathematical/statistical models, and proficiency in GIS, R, and/or other programing software. PDF will collaborate in developing an integrated population model (IPM) for mule deer and incorporating disease dynamics to assess harvest and vaccination management strategies. Other responsibilities include managing project data, developing and validating spatial epidemiological models, writing reports, organizing meetings, giving presentations, and producing publications.
