  • ACTWS and CSTWS Unveil the 2019 Conference Logo

    The annual Chapter conference, this year hosted jointly with the Canadian Section of The Wildlife Society has a new Logo.
    We reached out to ACTWS member Kate Broadley, whose wildlife doodles on social media caught our eye. She generously helped us out.

    Kate created a fabulous design, incorporating the conference theme of wildlife connectivity, with a deer leaping from one patch to another highlighting, this, our 30th anniversary conference. With Canmore’s mountain setting and the two hosting organizations, we couldn’t be happier. Thanks Kate. You’re amazing.

  • Conservation Leaders for Tomorrow

    The Wildlife Society has partnered with the highly successful Conservation Leaders for Tomorrow program to offer 18 exclusive student scholarships — including associated travel expenses — to attend a highly interactive five-day workshop at the Welder Wildlife Foundation in Sinton, Texas, March 15-19, 2019.

    The deadline for applications — which usually take less than 30 minutes to complete — is Feb. 10, 2019.

    This nationally-recognized Leadership Development program, used by over 30 state agencies, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and U.S. Forest Service, explores the roles that regulated hunting, angling, and trapping play in wildlife conservation in North America.
